Niepoort Tawny Dee 1/2 bottle
Named after the characters in Alice in Wonderland, the Dum and Dee wines are a great introduction to Dirk Niepoort's wines.
Brick red/tawny in colour, with delicate nutty aromas and a hint of dried fruits.
On the palate, very well balanced with a youthful fruity, luscious character, which integrates well with a long finish.
Perfect with nuts, dried fruits and blue cheeses. Lovely served slightly chilled.
Niepoort Ruby Dum 1/2 bottle
Named after the Alice in Wonderland characters Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dee, these wines offer a great introduction to Dirk Niepoort's wines
The Ruby Dee is dark red in colour with a fresh vibrant aroma of dark fruits which follows through on the palate along with an almost mineral character, a youthful wine with good extract and great balance, offering superb "drinkability".
Ready to drink now after a meal on its own or with a selection of cheeses.
Redoma Tinto, Niepoort
The Redoma wines are perhaps the flagship of Dirk Niepoort's range. The Tinto is rich and full-bodied with layers of dark fruit flavour and complex spice. 2017 was such a fantastic vintage for Niepoort, the wine is approachable now, but having tried older vintages over the years, it will definitely repay some years in the bottle.
Perfect with the full roast beef dinner, or something gamey like venison stew.

Dirk Niepoort is often lauded as Portugal’s best winemaker, making some of Portugal’s best table wines. However, Port is always at the heart of what he does and year after year, this LBV is one of the very best. Despite it’s power and richness, it stands out from the crowd with it’s real drinkability!

This historic producer, founded 1952, was the first in the Douro dedicated to producing light wines rather than Fortified wines. They make some great examples of the Douro at prices that are truly great value.
